Finished Tables...

Lance is so much better at finishing projects than I am...the proof:
Our Kitchen Table
I can't believe we don't have a before pic-it used to be a reddish brown all over. He sanded it down, stained it this beautiful espresso brown and primed and paint the legs and sides white. I am in love with it. And I am glad I actually finished one project (the table runner) so it could be used on the new table! (we bought the fabric like 6 months ago...but it is completed!) Now we are on the hunt for some new/old chairs...
This is the couch table that Lance made a while back-made from scratch! (well, he didn't cut down the tree...)
He painted it white and antiqued it with little wear dots (?) and put a pretty brown glaze on it. It turned out beautiful-Lance is just as much a perfectionist as I am-and actually finishes projects- which means we actually get to benefit from them, not just stare at the supplies in the closet. I am somewhat proud that I finished our Halloween costumes before Halloween (although I was putting finishing touches minutes before the ward party the day before...just details...right?)
Great work Lance. I am so grateful I can have a beautiful furniture in our house without having to spend a fortune-and they are wonderful reminders of Lance's hard work and great talent.

just a cute pic...

just found a cute pic of "shark teeth," as we say to get g to smile...

sneak peek inside the house...

they are getting so close! this is the great room fireplace since the trim paint was completed...no carpet yet...should be going in this week...yea!

table...

Lance's progress-about halfway done with the table. It was a reddish stain before...I'll try and find a before picture. Apparently I'm not very good at those.
The legs and sides underneath will be white, they are just primed in this picture.
I love this stain he picked out, an espresso of sorts I think.

bumpers...

Half of her bedding is done! hooray!I am more in love with the fabric than I have ever been, and I'm just glad that I was able to do an okay job sewing to make it cute and not a disaster.
I think it turned out girly despite it not being pink...

the house update

so awesome-i just uploaded this pic and G says "ooh hawwws! neeeew haws!"

we are getting closer and closer...

Projects...

I finally finished my niece's bedskirt (to complete the quilt my mom & I made forever ago for her)...and am mid-bumpers on my own baby girl's bedding now.
I found some nightstands at a g-sale for ten bucks (total)-and Lance ran with my vision that they could be something awesome. (we have never had nightstands-a computer stand and a dresser next to the bed was so much less convenient than these beauties)

working outside while we had nice weather. I'm pretty sure it's gone for good.
Lance is working on our kitchen table now and actually over halfway done! We wanted to get a few things done before we pack and move, and before the new baby of course! We are also keeping the house clean to show it to potential buyers for our landlords who have been awesome letting us stay here until our house and baby are done! Which is a project for me, but Lance is ecstatic to have a house so clean most of the time.
G is singing twinkle twinkle, abc's and baa baa black sheep (which he REFUSES to do for the camera), and doesn't ever stop saying "Lite a bawsss" (Like a boss...SNL skit). hilarious and cute as ever. Got his first official haircut (read: finally had enough hair to get it cut) but my camera is not functioning anymore so I will have to load a phone pic at some point.

den dog...

"thum ups doood"

tongue out-all silliness with den dog

mommy & denney

the giant tree stump, obviously. "Soooo big!"

"wides"

king of the world

loving all of den's gadgets

photos

Graham loves the camera-not to be in front of it, but to push the "buns" (buttons)...
Swinging, of course still asking for the buttons

me forcing him to take a pic with me, still reaching for the camera, not happy to be on this side of it.

a little more...

the latest house pic...
got outside and wanted his ball from the pool, even with shoes & clothes on...his "i'm so funny" face

showing you his "ouchee"--a fall into the corner of the coffee table=a LOT of blood & five stitches. Already looking a lot better a few weeks later. He will have a sweet manly scar. (sorry not the best pic of his ouchee...more later)

camping and first boo-boo

we had fun at a ward campout...g has been getting his 4 two-year-old molars the last month, so the sleeping was not so awesome, but we had fun!

I Will see if we can upload the pic from Lance's phone to show and tell our first trip to urgent care for G...he does have sweet cars band-aids from my sister that made it easier to change bandaging...(on his eyebrow)

the house...

It is coming along quite nicely...though it is still due the same time as the baby. Should make life interesting!

It's a

Girl!
For those of you that know me, know that I am not a pink girl. I like the hot pink/magenta if I am forced to have pink-but I don't know why I need a room in my house decorated by the easter bunny. (I love easter-the pastel pinks and purples limited to one month of the year are lovely)

So anyway, we are fashioning a room for this baby girl with lots of reds (some feminine pinky reds even...I know I can't completely escape pink!), mustards, golds, yellows, and a hint of blues- I might as well use some of the boy stuff we have!
Yay!
